Can I use my own padlock?

Yes, you can use any padlock with a shank up to 1/8" thick to secure the zipper.

The padlock we sell is a high-quality, custom-made, solid-brass lock with 3 keys. The key cannot be taken out of the keyhole while the padlock is open, a feature that prevents lost keys.

Additionally, the RoofBag name is engraved on the keys so you never have to wonder what these keys are for.

Solid brass means rust-proof, so our lock can get wet and will never rust or jam.

Also, the keyhole is on the side of the padlock, not on the bottom, a feature you will appreciate if you have to open the lock in the dark or in rain or snow.
